Hours of Operation
Our child care center is open for your convenience from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our preschool classes are in session from 9:00 AM to 12:45PM, Monday through Friday. All children will eat lunch at school. We follow the Dade County Public School calendar of holidays and teacher planning days. When they are open, we are open. Our school is closed on legal holidays. On teacher planning days, Christmas and Spring Break, our school classes are not in session; however, our child care center is open all day. (You will receive a copy of the calendar for the entire school year when school starts.) For parents of children in the full day program, there is no additional charge on these days. If your child is in the half day program, you may leave your child on these days at the rate of $2.50 per hour, $25.00 per day or 100.00 per week charge. Please notice these charges are in addition to the regular monthly tuition.
Arrival and Departure
School opens at 7:00 AM. Please do not leave your child in the school playground unattended before this time. Also, do not drop off your child in the parking lot, but walk to the classroom and deliver him/her to the teacher. ( Please do NOT block any of the driveways.) Please have your child in class by 9:00 AM so that he/she may get the full benefit from school time.
Your child will not be released from the room until a parent (or the person you have authorized on your child's application) comes to the door to claim him/her. If another person besides those on the application is to pick up your child, please call the office and let the secretary know so he/she may inform the teacher. Please give him/her the name and a description of the person; the staff will ask for identification when they arrive, for the protection of your child. Half Day Program ends at l2:45 PM. There will be an additional charge for any child not picked up between 12:45 P.M. and 1:00 P.M.. Your child will go into our After School Care program at 1:00 PM and you will be charged the $2.50 per hour rate if your child is in the half day program.
